1. Overview
RunnersRun (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the running goal-tracking service at runnersrun.app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:

4. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers required to operate the Service:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

- Email delivery provider — for transactional and notification emails.
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
If your free trial expires without a subscription, your goal and run data is retained for 30 days. Subscribing within that window restores full access. Data may be deleted after 30 days of expiry.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:
- Maintain authenticated sessions (Clerk)
- Track product usage for analytics (PostHog)
Session cookies are essential to the functioning of the Service and cannot be disabled without breaking authentication. Analytics cookies can be blocked via browser privacy settings or a content blocker; this will not affect core Service functionality.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.
7. Your Rights

- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate data

8. GDPR (EEA Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our lawful basis for processing your data is performance of a contract (providing the Service) and legitimate interests (analytics and product improvement).
We do not transfer personal data outside the EEA except where covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards as applicable to our third-party processors.
9. CCPA (California Users)
We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. Contact us at support@runnersrun.app to exercise these rights.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
11. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and payment processing via PCI-compliant Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
